Peter Billings is president of Fabian & Clendennin, a Salt Lake City law firm; former chair of the Utah Democratic Party; former campaign manager for the 1974 Wayne Owens for Senate campaign; and a key member of the campaign cabinets of Congressman Jim Matheson, candidate for Governor Scott Matheson, former Congresswoman Karen Shepherd, and former Congressman Wayne Owens.
Annette Cumming is president of the Cumming Foundation, founder of Utahn's for Choice (now the Planned Parenthood Action Council), and a board member of the national Planned Parenthood PAC. She has been a prime mover of efforts to elect women and Democrats to office both in Utah and in the nation. She was the finance chair of the Karen Shepherd for Congress campaigns.
Wayne Holland is chair of the Utah Democratic Party, an International Staff Representative for the United Steelworkers of America, and a lifelong political activist who has been a strategist for most of the important races in Utah in the last 20 years.
Mark Hymas serves as president of the Young Democrats of Utah and works as a national account executive for Tetra Financial Group. He graduated from the University of Utah in 2006 with a B.S. in Political Science and plans to pursue a master’s degree in public administration. He is a Salt Lake native and is proud to be a Utah Democrat.
Pat Jones is minority leader in the Utah State Senate and represents District 4. She graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in journalism and is vice president/co-owner of Dan Jones and Associates. She served as a state representative from 2002-2006; and as state senator from 2006 to the present.
Rochelle Kaplan is a retired educator who is passionate about strengthening progressive policies in Utah. She is departing president of the National Council of Jewish Women, Utah Section.
Esther Landa is a lifelong Democratic activist who has supported campaigns financially and strategically. She is a past national president of the National Council of Jewish Women and a former member of the President's Commission on the Status of Women. She is the creator of Esther's List which supported Democratic women running for the state legislature in Utah.
David Litvak is Utah House minority leader (since 2001) and represents District 26 in central Salt Lake City. He earned his undergraduate degree in psychology/sociology from Westminster College of Salt Lake City and a master’s degree in social sciences from the University of Chicago. He is director of the Criminal Justice Advisory Council.
Norma Matheson is the former first lady of Utah, serving with distinction when Scott Matheson served two terms as governor. She is an activist and strategist for Democratic campaigns and a priceless contributor to a wide variety of efforts that enrich the Utah community.
Robyn Matheson is a field director, scheduler, and campaign manager and has worked on the campaigns of Karen Shepherd for Congress, Scott Matheson for
Governor, and Jim Matheson for Congress. She served as field director for Karen Shepherd's first campaign in 1992 and was district director for her
Congressional office.
Anne Milliken served as chair of PAC fundraising for the Karen Shepherd for Congress campaigns and is a Democratic activist and strategist for selected campaigns. Her ties to the most important non profit organizations in Utah and the nation put her in a position to make a difference in many areas of politics.
Karen Shepherd is a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives and the Utah Senate. Most recently she served six years as a Presidential appointee to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London, England. She has served in the campaign cabinets of Scott Matheson and on the executive committee of the Utah Democratic Party.
Paul Svendsen is an attorney and consultant who worked as campaign manager and press secretary for Karen Shepherd during her years in Congress. He remains active in politics, having assisted with the recent campaigns of Ralph Becker, Stan Penfold, and the 2008 bond measure for Tracy Aviary.
Ann Floor is executive director of the Karen Shepherd Fund. In addition to her political work, she has been a strong advocate for community issues, working for a balanced transportation system for the Wasatch Front and support of locally owned businesses in Salt Lake City. |
